We have completed the developments for Phase 3, so it’s time to unveil the principles of the virus evolution.
Evolution
First of all, evolution happens randomly, like in nature, and it can improve or diminish the virus traits. This is a crucial aspect of the 0xPandemic rarity system. There are 1% of class V on paper, but because the evolution happens randomly and with mixed outcomes, the most potent viruses will be way rarer than the 1% drop rate for class V.
Depending on the class, the evolution can be bigger or smaller. Regardless of the class, every virus can evolve up to ten times by paying an increasing amount of $AMINO. However, after four evolutions, you need to consume $DARWIN to keep evolving your virus.

Tiers
Depending on the number of evolutions that happened, there are different costs:
It costs 20 $AMINO
It costs 40 $AMINO
It costs 80 $AMINO
It costs 100 $AMINO
It costs 120 $AMINO + 1 DARWIN
It costs 150 $AMINO + 5 DARWIN
It costs 200 $AMINO + 10 DARWIN
It costs 300 $AMINO + 15 DARWIN
It costs 400 $AMINO + 20 DARWIN
It costs 800 $AMINO + 40 DARWIN
How to evolve a virus
Go to the virus details page you want to evolve and click on “evolve”. After the transaction has been mined, you will get the virus's new traits, and the increments/decrements applied.
The thumbnail will be regenerated as well based on the new traits.
